Professor Choudhury was born in Khashila and educated to class four at Khasila Primary School. In July 1975, after the liberation war, he with his mother and only brother went to the United Kingdom to join his father, Late Al-Hajj All?mah Mohammed Shafiqul Islam Choudhury.
